BSc(Hons) Chiropractic, BSc(Hons) Sport (Sports Therapy)
Chris is a recently qualified Chiropractor holding a BSc (Hons) Chiropractic. Additionally Chris holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport (Sports Therapy) and is currently pursuing post-graduate study at the University of Surrey towards the award of MSc in Nutritional Medicine and a PG Cert in Professional Development (Chiropractic) at Anglo European College of Chiropractic.
Prior to completing his first undergraduate degree Chris obtained Diploma level qualifications in Tui-Na (Chinese Acupressure Massage) and in Thai Massage (traditional Thai Yoga Massage) while also pursuing the study of various systems of Acupuncture and soft tissue therapies, adding a variety of complementary holistic skills to his treatment repertoire. In 2009 Chris commenced graduate level study in Clinical Acupuncture at Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth and has recently completed the Diploma course. He is a full member of the United Chiropractic Association, the Society of Sports Therapists and the British Medical Acupuncture Association and a provisional member of The College of Chiropractors.
With an overwhelming interest in treating elite level athletes Chris has completed a wide range of advanced level specialist training in sports rehabilitation and sports injury treatment to ensure he always offers the best evidence based approach to managing the treatment needs of professional and amateur athletes alike, helping them to perform at their peak. He maintains a specialist clinic, during term time, at The University of Oxford Sports Complex, where he treats athletes of all abilities. Chris also has an interest in Paediatric Chiropractic and treating Pre and Post Natal patients. During his clinic year studies Chris undertook additional work in the college Paediatric clinic and attended specialist training seminars to obtain the skills needed to effectively care for pregnant patients and children. Chris continues to undertake advanced post graduate training in this field.
Chris maintains an active lifestyle outside of work, balancing extensive post graduate training and academic commitments with a variety of interests and pursuits, including cycling, playing the guitar, weightlifting and traveling.
